~beron is a small amateur cattery for Devon Rex cats.~

he term "cattery" isn’t quite appropriate but
I prefer to think of it as my "feline family"..

y cats are free to move around my home and the only separation
to which they are subject is that between males and females.

have a large walled terrace where the cats can have
all the fun they want while enjoying the lovely sunshine.
uring the winter, the cats never pass up an opportunity to take advantage of the
warmth from the fireplace and they also love to sneak under the covers of my bed.

he cats have access to all the rooms in the house and often “superintend” the kitchen,
they sit on the edge of the tub when I take a bath, they inspect the shopping bags
when I return from the store, they welcome my guests, and much more.

y love for the Devons began some years ago when I read an article about them
in a magazine and I remembered having already seen that type of cat in a feline show
some years previously with my mother, who has since passed away.

decided to contact a breeder and within a few hours
a young brown tabby Devon entered my home.

ixie was the founder of my cattery and is also
in some ways responsible for my passion towards this race.

ithin the space of just a few days I discovered how wonderful and fulfilling it was
to have a Devon and so I decided to continue: it was impossible to have just one.

t the present time five females and three males live serenely with me,
a long-haired house cat and a bloodhound named Yoshi..
y love for the Devons has led me to take some fascinating trips abroad
to bring back some of the more interesting cats.
hope that by visiting my site you too will fall in love with these small felines
with such unique personalities and coats.

f you decide to adopt one of my kittens,
you should be prepared to answer several questions:
I am a very apprehensive and careful “mother”.
t is always very painful yet necessary to part with my little ones
and I must be certain that they will go to live in a home where
they will receive the same attention and love that they receive from me..
y choice I prefer not to have the females give birth to too many kittens every year,
but rather to be certain as to their placement..

require that the new owners not allow their cat to go outside as it pleases:
the Devons that I entrust to new owners must live indoors.

oreover, I require that the cats not be subjected to the surgical removal of their claws(declawing).
